Applying to the College

Student records and information are maintained by the college and are available in the Registrar’s/Student Records Office, located on the lower level. Pursuant to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) the college can provide “directory information” which is defined as “information which would not generally be considered harmful or an invasion of privacy if disclosed”. This can be name, telephone, address, date and place of birth, major field of study, degrees/certificates awarded, dates of attendance, previous schools attended participation in school activities and sports.

The college cannot disclose personal identifiable information unless the student has given written consent to do so. A student may also request that “directory information” may not be released without the student’s prior consent by writing a non-disclosure letter. If a non-disclosure letter is signed, the student will have to come in person to the Registrar’s/ Student Records office to authorize the release of records and information each time information is needed.
