Administrative Assistant

New York College of Health Professions has been a leader in Holistic Health for 30 years. New York College of Health Professions offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in Massage Therapy, Advanced Asian Bodywork, Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and a Continuing Education program for Registered Nurses, healthcare practitioners and the community.

We are currently seeking a Full Time Administrative Floater to work as administrative support within our various departments.

Floater Responsibilities (but not limited to):

 

  • Support departments with administrative tasks, general office support.
  • Receive/handle multi-line switchboard calls with professional manner.
  • Greet guests with a courteous and professional manner.
  • Confirm appointments with patients and clinicians.
  • General office support: data entry, filing, mailings, reports, etc.
  • Assist with departmental tasks as needed.

 

Requirements:

1+ year admin/ reception experience. Proficient in MS Excel/ Word required. Must be detail oriented and have ability to multi-task. Internet, typing, filing, data entry, and multi-line switchboard phones are a must. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills required.

Clinic Office ManagerNew York College of Health Professions has...

New York College of Health Professions, a private not-for-profit institution, has been a leader in holistic health for over 32 years. The College offers accredited undergraduate and graduate degree programs in Massage Therapy, Advanced Asian Bodywork, Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and Continuing Education programs in Holistic Nursing for Registered Nurses, the Science of Self Improvement, as well as workshops for health care practitioners, students and the public. New York College offers courses at its Syosset campus and at its locations in New York City.

We are currently seeking a full-time Clinic Director to oversee all aspects of our fast paced on-site Syosset Academic Health Care Teaching Clinic in which student interns provide massage therapy, acupuncture and herbal treatments to the public under supervision of their licensed, experienced instructors.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day to day operations
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of clinical staff including staffing, scheduling and completion of necessary reports
  • Coordinate student schedules in order to help them achieve their academic goals
  • Coordinate supervisor schedules
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and take messages
  • Greet incoming visitors while displaying, at all times, a friendly, courteous and professional manner and ensure staff is engaged in providing courteous and efficient customer service
  • Manage billing and invoicing and daily cash reconciliation
  • Oversee records regarding payments and receipts for treatment
  • Schedule patient and client appointments
  • Ensure patients complete necessary documentation
    Conduct patient follow-up
  • Inform patients and clients about services
  • Make appointment reminder calls
  • Checkout patients and clients

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years experience as a Clinic Director, or related position
  • Spa/Retail sales experience preferred
  • Receptionist experience at medical facility a plus
  • Associates or Bachelors degree required
